The government shut down at 12:01AM, October 1, 2013.
I’ve been trying for eight hours to log on NY’s Health Exchange Marketplace without success just to get an idea of what Obamacare is going to cost me. There’s a note stating over 2 million New Yorkers per hour are trying to log in to the system. All we keep getting are error messages. Apparently, NY wasn’t ready. As if they didn’t know how many millions of people live in the state. Duh?
I’d say I was glad that the government shut down BUT unfortunately, love them or hate them, the government does do a lot to keep our lives afloat and running smoothly. Private industry couldn’t do it. Regardless of how inefficient the government may be. Just sayin’
To the people out there who say they don’t care or today is the first day they are hearing about this mess (I consider you a lame moron) …………just wait. Today is only the first day. Give it a while. Eventually you’ll feel what is going on. (I can’t understand why people have to feel the pain personally in order to be compassionate.) Of course the sun rose this morning. And it will rise tomorrow and the next. The sun also rose each and every morning after the Nazi’s sent the Jews to the concentration camps. What does the sun coming up have to do with anything? Do you think you can not feel pain because the sun rose in the morning?
But then again, you never listen to the news. You’re above the fray.
